Nimbus is an easy going horse that likes to play in his paddock and take naps in the afternoon. He never fails to greet the staff at the gate each morning. His favorite treat is an apple.
Buck spent his early years as a trail horse at a hunting outfitter in Montana. He has a very strong work ethic and is most happy when he understands his job. Buck is definitely a barn favorite!
Gringo is a former polo pony. He’s a true white horse, with two blue eyes which is unusual. He needs special care to stay protected from the sun, primarily Zinc sunscreen, a special fly mask, and a visor to protect his delicate eyes and skin.
His character is playful and inquisitive.
Noddy is part of Starlight's Community Outreach program. After 17 years a successful career as a children's show pony, Noddy is enjoying the slower pace of his new job. His favorite horse treats are pears and peppermints.
Annie is an adorable mini pony that is learning the ropes as an equine therapy pony. Her afternoon naps in the sun are a favorite pass time. Annie often indulges in carrots and peppermints.
Paco is our easiest keeper - he doesn't eat, drink, or need a stall, still he is an important member of the herd. He is a practice horse with wheels and pulleys to simulate a horse's movement. Paco was designed and hand-crafted by Todd Cage, one of Starlight's volunteers.
