OUR HORSES

NIMBUS

NIMBUS

NIMBUS

Nimbus is a 20+ year-old roping Quarter Horse whose former career has been eclipsed by his shining ability as an empathetic, patient, and consistent work horse.  His innate talent as a therapeutic riding horse is nothing short of magical.

Whitey

NIMBUS

NIMBUS

Whitey is an 18-year-old Quarter Horse, who used to love to run the barrels.  With his fast-turning skills, he moved on to teach young riders at the Midland Polo School.  His dependability, agility, and heart helped many students move on to higher goals.  Starlight is honored to receive this treasured mount, as a donation from Molly Musselman.

Gringo

NIMBUS

Gringo

Gringo is a 15-year-old former polo pony. He has been a special edition to Starlight and is one of a kind.  He’s a true white horse, with two blue eyes, which is very unusual. He has a playful and inquisitive personality, that always brings smiles.

Gringo

Happy is a 13-year-old Haflinger gelding. Haflingers are known for their intelligence, character, willingness, grace, stamina, athleticism and long life. Happy spent his early years as a driving horse.

PACO

PACO

Paco is our easiest keeper - he doesn't eat, drink, or need a stall, still he is an important member of the herd. He is a practice horse with wheels and pulleys to simulate a horse's movement. Paco was designed and hand-crafted by Todd Cage, one of Starlight's volunteers.
