Nimbus is an easy going horse that likes to play in his paddock and take naps in the afternoon. He never fails to greet the staff at the gate each morning. His favorite treat is an apple.
Noddy will join Starlight full-time next year. He has enjoyed a successful career as a children's show pony and now he's ready for a new job. He's a big personality in a small package. Noddy's favorite horse treats are pears and peppermints.
Paco is our easiest keeper - he doesn't eat, drink, or need a stall, still he is an important member of the herd. He is a practice horse with wheels and pulleys to simulate a horse's movement. Paco was designed and hand-crafted by Todd Cage, one of Starlight's volunteers.
Comanche is a pony that's "been there, done that." With his owner away at college, Comanche is training to be part of Starlight's herd. His sweet temperament and willingness to work make him an ideal candidate for the program. Comanche's favorite treat is Mrs. Pasture's Cookies.
Lizzard enjoyed an exciting life as a polo pony. After retiring from polo, he was part of lesson program. Now, he splits his time between his owner's ranch and Starlight. Lizzard is a sweet, mild-mannered gentleman. He enjoys carrots and Mrs. Pasture's Cookies.
Poquita is a kind mare that spent many years on the polo fields. Today, she is enjoying the slower pace of a therapeutic riding pony. Her afternoon naps in the sun are a favorite pass time. Poquita often indulges in Mrs. Pasture's Cookies.
